S.C.S SERVICES


  •        S.C.S homeless services offer support to vulnerable people, in need, and works towards enabling them to manage and maintain their temporary accommodation, with a view towards helping them attain independent living.
  •     S.C.S services also offer the following services, Advice surgeries, run twice, a week, every Tuesday and Wednesday, from 9.30am – 1:30pm at 423 Chatham High Street. ME4 (THE HUB). Areas covered include, Job search, Referrals, CV creation, Benefits advice, Medway Home-choice registration, Advice on renting in the private sector, D.W.P Social funds covering areas such as Budgeting loans, and signposting applicants to additional, available services within Medway, etc.

Support Services

Support services available from Shepherd Community Services

·         Help in setting up and maintaining a home

·         Help in establishing personal safety and security (including alarm systems)

·         Emotional support, and advice

·         Supervision and monitoring of health and well-being

·         Help in developing social skills and managing, behaviour.

·         Assistance with money matters benefit claims & resettlement support

·         Advice, advocacy and liaison with statutory agencies

·         Assistance for young care leavers, homeless people and those leaving institutions

·         Helping people prepare for greater independence through training in basic life skills

The aim of Supported Housing is to offer a range of options to vulnerable people to help them improve their quality of life. Services are targeted to assist their living skills, their abilities and their goals for the future within a stable environment which promotes and enables a greater independence
